Q. Why is all of the pricing listed starting prices only?
A. Everyone who works in the salon or spa is on a promotion based level system. Their level is based on the demand for their time. It has to do with their time and experience here as opposed to their experience in the field.
Q. When you add up the individual prices of the services in your packages it is less than the package prices. Why is that?
A. Package prices are based on a higher level price because we do not always have a level one service provider on staff.
Q. Why do I need to reserve my package or party appointment with a credit card even if I have a gift certificate?
A. Any use of salon or spa services and/or lounge for three or more hours requires a reservation with a Visa or Master Card on the day of booking. Any cancellations require at least 24 hours notice so we may open the books to other guests. In the case of a cancellation less than 24 hours before a service or not showing up at all, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of the services to the credit card. NO charges will be made under any other circumstances without permission. It's the same as making a hotel reservation.
Q. What is an appropriate tip & how do I do it?
A. Tipping is whatever you feel comfortable giving. On average people tip like they would in a restaurant. You can give the tip directly to your service provider, include it in the payment at the front desk, or ask for an envelope for cash to be left at the front desk. The front desk staff will make sure your service provider receives what was left for them.
Q. This is my first massage. Do I need to wear something special? Will I feel greasy?
A. There is no appropriate outfit for massage. Wear what makes you comfortable. The lotions and oils that the massage therapists use do not leave a lasting greasy feel, however if you receive a scalp massage your hair may be oily and messy.
Q. Do your gift certificates expire?
A. No. They do not expire, however if there is a price increase the gift certificate is only good for the amount that it was purchased for.
Q. What happens if I lose my gift certificate?
A. We do not track gift certificates. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. They are not redeemable for cash. No refunds will be issued for gift certificates.
Q. Do you do couple's massage?
A. Unfortunately, we do not do couples massage. We can do them simultaneously, but they would be in separate rooms.
Q. How far in advance do I need to book an appointment?
A. Our books are open three months in advance to allow our clients to book future appointments. Depending on the level of the service provider there could be more demand on their time. Sometimes you can get lucky and get an appointment the same day that you call. If you need a Saturday, evening, or when booking a package please allow 3-4 weeks notice. However, please call and ask about availability. We do receive cancellations, and do our best to accommodate all situations.
